Nail Polish clusterf*ck. |
Am I a beauty blogger yet?
While I respect those that commit to the form of beauty blogging, it's hard for me to stomach applying nail polish for photo purposes only, then removing it immediately and applying a new color. This is crazy, ladies. #1 I don't have time for it. I'm too important. #2 I'm pretty inept at doing one manicure. Multiple would exhaust me. #3 Aren't you supposed to wear nail polish until it's completely chipped off your nails? What is nail polish remover?

All dem OPI polishes |
Okay, right, the review/swatches... I used all OPI polishes, all of which have been rolling around in my vanity for at least a year, because who do you think I am? Some kind of rich uncle money bags? Here are the colors from thumb to pinky (or right to left in the photo above): Here to Day... Aragon Tomorrow, Russian Navy, Ski Teal We Drop, Midnight in Moscow, and Siberian Nights.

Dark Jewel Tones feat. Russian Navy |
My favorite polish in this batch is Russian Navy. It's a dark blue polish with shimmer that looks purple in certain lighting. It looks lovely under glitter, and I think it will be perfect with a matte topcoat. I'll give it a shot when this round chips off.
Here's my review:
Here to Day... Aragon Tomorrow (a very dark, no shimmer, muted green) - 4 Pennies*

Russian Navy (dark navy/purple shimmer) - 5 Pennies

Ski Teal We Drop (dark teal, no shimmer) - 4 Pennies

Midnight in Moscow (super dark gray/almost black with red shimmer) - 4 Pennies

Siberian Nights (dark purple, no shimmer) - 3 Pennies

*WTF is a "Penny"? Well, "Penny" is my perfect dog, therefore she's the gold standard to which I measure everything. My ranking system is a 5 Penny system, and "5 Pennies" is perfect.
